Ream and run for B2 glenoid - resuming handball @ 7 months

A 56 year old man presented to us with pain and stiffness that prevented him from enjoying his favorite sport of handball.

While his preoperative AP view shows only joint space narrowing and an inferior osteophyte,

his axillary 'truth' view shows posterior decentering on a biconcave glenoid (no CT needed to define his pathology).
He elected to have a ream and run procedure. His postoperative films are shown below.
The AP shows a smooth glenoid surface and an impaction grafted thin smooth humeral stem.
His postoperative axillary 'truth' view shows the humeral head prosthesis centered on the conservatively reamed glenoid.

Recently he emailed a "quick impromptu video here hitting a few handball shots.  Very pleased considering not even 7 month’s post, " which he gave us permission to share here.

Comment: This man's motivation is evident.
