The impact of preoperative smoking habits on the results of rotator cuff repair. JSES

The January JSES publishes: The impact of preoperative smoking habit on rotator cuff tear: cigarette smoking influences rotator cuff tear sizes. This article showed that the presence and amount of cigarette smoking correlated with the size of the cuff tear.

A previous article, The impact of preoperative smoking habits on the results of rotator cuff repair, demonstrated that smokers had inferior outcomes from cuff repair.

There may be other effects of smoking as we mentioned in a previous post.
