Ream and run for the retroverted glenoid - two example cases:

Case 1: An active man with pain and loss of function of his right shoulder had these preoperative x-rays
His axillary "truth" view showed posterior decentering of the humeral head on a retroverted glenoid.

He elected a ream and run procedure because he wished to avoid the risks and limitations of a prosthetic glenoid component.

At six weeks after surgery he had excellent range of assisted motion and these x-rays showing an impaction grafted canal-sparing stem

and an anteriorly eccentric prosthetic humeral head centered on the glenoid reamed conservatively to a single concavity without attempting to change version.
