Novak Djokovic, Новак Ђоковић, pulls out of Paris Masters Tennis Tournament - what is his shoulder injury?

The exact cause of his shoulder problem is not known, but it is not surprising that top level tennis players who serve the ball around 130 miles per hour sustain shoulder injuries. Such speeds subject the rotator cuff and the stabilizing structures of the shoulder, such as the glenoid labrum, to major loads. Once these structures are injured, a complete return to the previous level of function may be difficult. Here is an interesting biomechanical analysis of the form of some of the top men players.
